             Meditation Made Easy

     Yoga means union and it is a study that in advanced stages leads to unification with the supreme self, often referred to as self realization. The idea is that by calming the mind and emptying it of random thoughts we make room for the Lord, who resides in each of us, to fill us.

     As anyone who has tried can tell you, calming the mind is no minor undertaking. However, people have been successfully taking the inward journey for thousands of years.

     Meditation Made Easy breaks down and makes plain the simple steps anyone can follow to begin and succeed in progressing on the path to enlightenment. As with most endeavors, concentration and meditation are most easily achieved if the proper groundwork is laid beforehand. Scheduling, preparation of the space where practice will take place and developing virtues leading to contentment all play a part. Physical exercises and breathwork will ease some from the distractions of everyday life to the bliss within. Finally, as in most things, we don't go from a completely active mind to serenity without steps in between. These steps to slowly bring our mind from busyness to stillness will be stressed. 

     This course in designing and enhancing a program of relaxation and concentration leading to meditation, will be offered from time to time as a 4 hour intensive or as a 6 week program. See the class schedule for details.
