Presence Heals
We all become healers when we contact another with an open heart - whether in a simple handshake, a hug, or a bodywork session. A bodyworker herself, artist Amina Re really understands the dynamic of energy exchange and expresses it beautifully in her artwork.
Surrounded by calming clouds reminiscent of angelic support, the world around seems to melt from matter into energy. This is the space where true healing can happen - where our intention can penetrate through the form. The healer is robed in timeless vestments, wings emerging from her form and surrounding the one being healed. He lies with a look of repose and purity - the place we return to when we allow ourselves to receive.
In her own words, Amina tells how her bodywork and her art interact: "I have been studying the human form for years, as an artist and as a bodyworker. In my art I create form from formlessness. The paint expresses moods, tells stories, and shows relationships. Bodywork, for me, is the flip side of this process, where I am exploring form, the physical body. I listen to its stories, sense its spirit, and feel its mood. I am responding to its quest for wholeness. Every session is unique, revealing a complex and ever changing tapestry of the human experience."
