Soul of the Esraj and Voice of the Esraj Music CDs
Benjy Wertheimer is one of the most beloved musicians on
the Yoga circuit with good reason. His devotion to craft, spirit and musicianship
are unparalleled. These CDs are two of his finest and have received raves from
the likes of John Friend, Krishna Das and Shiva Rea. If you are not into him
yet these CDs are a great place to start!

|
Anjali Music CD
A mythic instrumental journey featuring acoustic guitarist
Michael Mandrell and multi-instrumentalist Benjy Wertheimer. Anjali transports
the listener into both the faraway lands of ancient India - through the soulful
sounds of the esraj, tamboura and tabla - and the mystical Celtic landscape
with lyrical splashes of acoustic guitar. Perfect for Yoga or anytime. |
|
Sri Music CD
As the duo Shantala, Benjy and Heather Wertheimer lead kirtan
(sacred chanting) worldwide, bringing audiences vibrant lyrics, soul-stirring
vocals, and exotic instrumentation. This CD captures their spirit and
energy. It is a celebration through chanting of sacred names
that carries participants into a state of heightened awareness, bliss, and
devotion. |
|
Savasana by Wah CD
Taken directly from her experience of "relaxing muscles,
dissolving identity, dissociating from the body and mind, and entering into
a weightless experience of spirit," the artist WAH! offers this music
to help us enter into such bliss.
Use this CD for savasana, yoga practice,
massage, or any time for deep relaxation or a restful state of prayer. |
|
Half Moon Bay CD
The solo acoustic guitar play of Will Pfluger leaves the
listener relaxed and soothed. Perfect for meditating, massage or Hatha Yoga.
This music is 100% hand-crafted and all natural. This CD has nine tracks and
about 67 minutes play time for these original compositions of heavenly strumming. |
|
The Wind Garden
The melodic creations on The Wind Garden include elegant
use of guitar, bells, chimes, synthesizer, piano and clarinet. A light, joyful,
spring breeze
of sounds that leaves one feeling refreshed and purified. One of the former
owners of Bheka Yoga Supply told me that "when I wake up feeling tired,
stressed and/or depressed I put on The Wind Garden and do a Sun Salutation
series." |
|
Asana Music CD
This CD was first played in classes at the Jivamukti Yoga
Center in New York City. It has the energy of rock, mellowness of jazz and
the hypnotic quality of Eastern instrumentation and sensibility. Asana's infectious
dance grooves may compel you to burst into a flow of rhythmic movement
and liberate yourself from the mundane! Perfect for Power or Vinyasa Yoga. |
|
|
Chakra Journey CD
This CD is specially designed for massage, yoga,
relaxation and meditation. Each musical track focuses on a Chakra
starting from the Root Chakra "Red" (musical key of C)
ascending up to the Crown Chakra "Purple" (musical key
of B).It activates, clears and balances your Chakras, which helps
relieve stress, while expanding
awareness and inducing stability and grounding. |

OM Namaste Hand Crafted
Wood Carving
Our OM Namaste Wood Carvings are a lovely addition
for your home, office or yoga/fitness studio. Wherever you may want
to greet people with a message of peace, love and honor. Each carving
is hand-made and sealed with a burnished, copper colored finish by
Nepalese artisans. |
It is a lovely time
here in the Hudson Valley with the air dry and clear, the leaves
turning color and a bracing chill in the air. We can see how the
leaves get brittle as they dry out and blow away and feel our own
joints and muscles tighten up and crackle. As the air gets drier,
we lose fluid through perspiration more than during warmer, moister
months. Since it is not hot, there is a tendency to drink less, but
we actually need to drink more to fight the drying trend. We've done
our part, now you do yours. Keep hydrated, moisturize and stay juicy.
Peace and Love,
Ray (Yogeshvara OM)
