Vacation Time!
In May I took some time off and went on a retreat
to Walt Disney World. It was enormous fun and I was surprised at
how right-minded
many of the attractions are. We started with the infectious 'Small
World After All' and its message of world unity and ended with a
show about lion cub Simba and the Circle of Life and the idea that
all
species are interrelated. It is great that Disney World is
teaching kids
to
be part
of the solution to our worlds problems. I just remembered the rides
from when I had been there before and I really appreciated the layering
in
of
content
which seems more pronounced now.
.
Since I've been back, I've been dealing with big changes here at
Yoga Life Style. My web assistant Renee took off for India (where
she found some great mala beads, we'll have on the site soon.) and
I've been lucky to be working with Becca Wild who has added a new
upbeat voice to a lot of the copy we generate. Welcome Becca. Also
Ed Jones my Warehouse Manager for the last 5 years has decided it
is time to retire so we have a chance to welcome Evan Stormo
who brings his own mix of experience and enthusiasm as well as a
vegan hand to handle the packages.
