Organic
Cotton/Spandex Yoga Pants
Tree
hugging fabulous pants in seven different color styles from Shining
Shakti. These pants were the hit of the recent Yoga Journal Conference
in NY and after seeing so many high style eco-conscious yoginis
wearing them all weekend, I knew I had to offer them here. |
|
OM Silver and Stone Necklaces
These
aventurine and rose quartz and sterling silver necklaces are
hand made in America by my neighbor Trish, exclusively for Yoga
Life Style. They are 16 inches long with 6 mm beads. The OM pendant
is about 3/4 of an inch long and 5/8 of an inch wide. |

Deva Premal CDs
Deva
Premal has been chanting since long before chanting was "in"
and her warm alto stylings of traditional chants continue to
be at the top of the chant charts. They are equally at home as
background to yoga, meditation and bodywork as they are in the
car or around the house. These are two of her finest and most
recent offerings. |

Yoga to the Rescue DVDs
Desiree
Rumbaugh is a talented Anusara instructor with a lot of therapuetic
yoga experience. On these two DVDs she shows exercises to enliven
and rejuvenate our entire bodies and to specifically gain more
suppleness and strength in our backs. Along the way her exercises
have freed many regular practitioners from chronic pain. |
|
Shiva Rea Flow Yoga DVD
Shiva
Rea, the master of Flow Yoga has created a slower paced, easy
to follow routine geared to yoga practitioners who want to get
into the flow. For experienced practitioners this may be a good
companion DVD for days when you don't want to work so hard. |
|
Chakra Balancing Yoga
This
meditative, inward looking practice developed by Jivamukti Co-Founder
Sharon Gannon, is a great way to begin accessing your chakra
energies and to move through places you may be stuck. Her gentle
clear instructions make this a lovely guide for your inward journey. |
|
Alive in 5 and Raw Food Made Easy
These
two books are great for the vegan/raw foodie on the go or for
anyone looking to get more fresh, live foods into their diets
without devoting too much time to the project. Perfect for dieters
looking for more high nutrient value, low calorie foods that
taste and look great as well. |
|
Raw Food Celebrations
Special
occasions are often marked by special meals and this book has
6 amazing feasts that anyone will love the taste of. Of course
the recipes can be pulled out of the menus for everyday use as
well and these gourmet selections are so good, I'd be surprised
if you would want to restrict their use to just major moments. |
|
Living in the Raw Gourmet and The Raw Gourmet
For
raw foodies and vegans who don't mind taking a little extra time
to make delicious mouth watering and satisfying creations, these
books fit the bill. The Raw Gourmet stays with more
basic ingredients and equipment, while Living in the Raw
Gourmet has more recipes requiring special equipment
and planning. |
|
Raw Food Made Easy DVD
It
is hard to tell from a recipe just how to grate, chop or
mince that carrot or how long to blend something to get the
proper consistency. Jennifer Cornbleet solves all those problems
by showing you how and giving ultra clear, detailed instructions
along the way. It is like having an ultra knowledgable friend
in your kitchen. |

Yoga Nutrition Place Page
Hundreds
of people every month are using our place pages to easily
navigate the Yoga Life Style site in search of things in
their categories of interest. We now have the vegetarian
nutrition panel poster and lots of books and a DVD supporting
a food style that leaves animals alone. You can find them
all here. |
In
the coming months Yoga Life Style will be getting greener
and greener. We'll be adding more gear items that are made
with renewable
resources and we'll be highlighting the items we already
have that are making use of eco-friendly technologies,
like posters and books printed with soy based inks or on
recycled stock or both. This month with the addition of
the Shining Shakti pants and the raw food books, which
incidentally are printed on post consumer recyled paper
using plant
based inks, we are hopefully embarking
on a long journey of helping you to get what you want in
ways that are easier on the planet.
Peace and Love,
