Saka Eco
Positive Yoga Mats
I've been searching
for an eco yoga mat to put on this site for years. I have
samples from Asia, Europe and the US and I've used them
all. Most are very, very expensive and none of them has
been as good for grip, durability and easiness to clean
as my regular sport mat. Combining this with the confusion
surrounding the various claims about what makes the eco
mat ecologically sound
in the first place, I just haven't been able to bring one
to market. Till now.
Here's what I've found. The Saka Eco Positive mat
is
a step in the right direction. It is manufactured using less toxic chemicals
than
a normal mat and it off gasses less bad gasses than a normal mat, so it is a
significant improvement in terms of pollution created to produce it and it is
durable, easy to clean and sticky. Plus
it is inexpensive enough to be a mat that is affordable for small studios and
individuals.
The Saka eco mat
is 1/8" thick , 22" wide
and a full 68" long. Creating it was better for the environment and safer
for the workers doing it than a standard mat and it is a good value at $24.00.

discount on all 12 mats. So 12 eco mats are only $144.00.
Due to the
weight of 12 mats, 30 pounds, shipping
costs do become a factor here. We ship via UPS and it costs us $10.00 to ship
a dozen eco mats to NY and $24.00 to ship 12 of them to California. These
shipping costs must be added to the online price since the most we charge for
standard shipping online is $10.00.

When checking out, choose US Day
Definite Ground Service for shipping. We will ship via UPS ground. The shipping
charges will not appear as the cost is built into the price of the mats. If
you purchase other items with your mats, the freight cost to ship those items
will appear.
