Eco Yoga Mat Jute and
PER
This mat performs
very well. It has the good traction and support characteristics
of other PER mats and replaces much of the petroleum based
synthetic body of the mat with renewable jute. It is completely
latex free and no toxic chemicals are used in its manufacture.
Jute
plants take only 4-5 months to grow to maturity, making them
a sustainable resource. They clean the air by consuming carbon
dioxide, and the leaves are a natural soil conditioner. Jute
mesh has the strength of fiberglass and the biodegradability of lawn clippings.
Joining
jute fibers with PER (Polymer Enviornmental Resin) gives this mat its unique
look
and
feel.
