Insight Yoga DVD with Sarah Powers Insight Yoga with Sarah Powers is a well rounded, healing, energizing and spiritually uplifting offering from a gifted and knowledgable source. There are practices to enhance healing and receptivity in the Yin sections and practices for enhancing energy and strength in the Vinyasa sections.      The Yin sequences, geared to addressing physical and emotional issues, are thorougly explained, gentle and very deep. Poses are held for about five minutes each, really giving you time to stretch, relax, reflect and heal. The vinyasa sections are challenging workouts offering complete methodical instruction and holds long enough to let the benefits of each pose really sink in.      There are 10 different preprogrammed practices ranging from about one hour to about two hours. Plus you can sequence your own practice if you like using sequences from various sections. A ten minute guided Savasana relaxation practice and a 30 minute guided relaxation practice are included and can be used after any of the posture sequences.      The practices are informed by Buddhist philosphy and Chinese medicinal theories which are referred to throughout. This DVD is truly accessible to people at all levels of yoga experience.      Sarah Powers has been teaching Yoga for over twenty years. Her approach reflects the influences of Yin style long-hold poses to enhance meridian and organ systems, Viniyoga, Ashtanga and alignment based teachings. She interweaves it all with insights from Yogic and Buddhist sources linking body, heart and mind.
