In this inspirational class, John
Friend teaches how to embody divine beauty, both on and off the
yoga mat, using Anusara Yoga's Universal Principles of Alignment™.
This practice is a celebration of the divine beauty and the abundance
of life, which is expressed through an uplifting asana sequence,
culminating in full backbends. The class invokes Lakshmi , the
Goddess who embodies Shri, the exquisite splendor that pulsates
within all of us.
This one and
a half hour class was recorded live as part of a week-long retreat with John
Friend at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, New York.
John
Friend is the world renowned founder of Anusara Yoga. He has practiced a variety
of hatha yoga styles since the early 70's. Using his great warmth and humor,
he blends a teaching style that inspires students to live each moment from the
heart with his detailed prescriptions for how to do the postures. In 1997 John
founded Anusara Yoga to promote his unique vision and it is growing throughout
the US, UK, Europe, Asia and Australia. |
