I first heard SWAHA when they opened the innaugural Yoga Show in
Toronto in November 2003 and I was wowwed big time, as were
most of
those in attendance. Their unique renderings of traditional
chants and beautiful original work is presented in an uplifting
positive way that blends traditional Indian instrumentation
with contemporary western instruments and sensibilities to
make inspiring and joyous homages to the lord. If you ever
get a chance to see them do not pass it up.
This CD captures
a lot of the energy and musicianship that I heard that night and has led to
high praise.
