The varied and interesting instrumentation that mixes traditional Indian music with electronic, rock, jazz and even hill billy influences all work together in Jai's work to pay homage to the supreme energy that pervades the universe. His beautiful introductory explanation of Bhakti yoga illuminates the chanting and lets us hear directly from Jai what Kirtan means to him and can mean to us. Kirtan is generally practiced as call and response and this offering is an invitation to join in and feel the ocean of divine feelings deep inside each of us. For those who practice chanting the names of the Lord in group settings, this is a great way to re-experience the ecstasy, whenever the mood strikes.
