This Forrest Yoga 5-Day CD Intensive Course (Audio CDs and Companion Book) by Ana Forrest is designed for the intermediate/advanced yoga practitioner. This course is designed to take you on a physical and mental journey deep into the core of your very being. With the consistency of a vigorous and mindful daily practice, you will create a heightened sense of emotional and spiritual awareness while challenging every muscle and cell in your body.

Included are:
Five 2-hour audio classes (10 hours of personal instruction)
Over 400 full color pose photos within the companion book
Advanced poses with intermediate modifications

     The program is broken into 5 days. Each day includes a 2-hour Forrest Yoga class. The course is designed to be done in 5 consecutive days, to build upon the skills and techiques taught previously. Ana gives complete and detailed instructions on the CDs and the companion book illustrates all the poses and variations. Each pose photo is accompanied with bullet point instructions.

Day 1 - The focus is breath. Begin the week with an energizing back and shoulder class. Strengthen your back, open your shoulders, and increase steadiness as your energy builds.
Day 2 - The focus is integrity. Awaken your pelvis, lengthen your hamstrings, experience invigorating inversions and balance poses.
Day 3 – The focus is going deeper. Go deeper, melt away old resistance and limitations. Integrate backbend work of Day 1 and balance and focus work of Day 2 to succeed in the advanced backbends of this day.
Day 4 - The focus is strength. Delight in your strength, work through this hot, sweaty class with Sun Salutations, B-Series, and Standing Pose Series. Get stronger and the possibilities of what you can achieve in the world expands.
Day 5 - The focus is spirit. Experience a deeper focus of embodying spirit. This final intensive class includes a fabulous blend of the week's work.
     Each day includes:
     A theme to focus and set intention for your practice.
     Breathwork and abdominal exercises to heat up and connect to your core.
     Intelligent pose sequencing to warm up selected areas of focus.
     Guidance as you melt away old resistance and limitations.
     Challenging apex poses and encouragement to go for new edges of freedom.
     Warm down poses to unwind and relax the nervous system.
     Savasana for rest and to allow the energy you generated in class to nourish your cells and your soul.

 Ana Forrest is recognized worldwide as a pioneer in yoga and emotional healing. Born crippled, her own life trauma and experiences compelled her to create Forrest Yoga. Having studied many yoga styles and healing modalities, most importantly Native American medicine and ceremony, her focus in Forrest Yoga is to guide the student in the sacred exploration of truth, healing, and "the Great Mystery". She is a well-known contributing expert to Yoga Journal and other national wellness publications. She travels internationally teaching at yoga conferences, workshops, and teacher trainings. Ana is on the Board of Advisors for the Foundation for Athletic Research and Education and is an instructor for continuing education at the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic.
