From the opening verse "I
have no one else but you, only you my Lord." it is
clear what this CD is about. It is a devotional call to
find the purity and grace deep within ourselves. Ismrittee
Devi's sweet vulnerability and Dharmas deep consistent
intonations offset each other to come at the same theme
from different perspectives and one heart. The first 13
minute track weaves the title verse, in with various other
chants from Dharma and Ismrittee including, Om, Om Namashivaya,
Hum Sa, So Hum, Sita Ram, Ram, Ram to make an interesting
and uplifting multi tiered call to the Lord. All this is
backed with a gentle metronomic sythesized tone. The second
track is a 33 minute version of Om Namashivaya, that starts
with a minute and a half of lovely guitar and tabla before
Dharma comes in with the first Om, from there Dharma and
Ismrittee and various instruments continue the devotional
chant in a multilayered , rich and meditative way. |
