very, very cool. The cover says Ashtanga, which means eight
limbs and the inside is for
yogis
everywhere who are interested in the true meaning and origins of
yoga. Caroline Klebl who designed and poses in the calendar, is
a dedicated
teacher
and she displays the postures with verses from the well spring
of yoga The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali.

January - 1.1 Now begins
the expostion of yoga.
February - 1.2 Yoga
is the cessation of fluctuations of the mind.
March - 1.3 Then, the
inherent true form of the seer is established.
April - 1.12 Cessation
is established through practice and renunciation.
May - 1.14 Practice is firmly
grounded through correct cultivation over an extended, uninterrupted
period of time.
June - 1.29 This (the chanting
of OM), turns the mind inward and removes obstacles to the knowledge
of the true self.
July -
1.37 Or by contemplating a being who is free from attachment.
August -
1.41 When fluctuations fade and consciousness becomes clear like
a transparent jewel, the grasper, grasping and grasped merge into
one.
September -
2.16 Thereby future suffering is avoided.
October -
2.21 The essence of the seen is for the sake of the seer.

2.29 Yama (restrataints), Niyama (observances), Asana (posture),
Pranayama (breath control ), Pratyahara (withdrawal of the senses),
Dharana (concentration), Dhyana (meditation) and Samadhi (absorption) are
the eight steps of yoga.

- 2.45 Samadhi is perfected by surrendering to the supreme
consciousness.
