Srivatsa Ramaswami, living in Chennai, India, is one of the longest-standing students of Krishnamacharya, having studied closely with him for 30 years. Krishnamacharya, who also taught B.K.S. Iyengar andPattabhi Jois, was one of the most significant influences on modern yoga. Ramaswami has taught vinyasa yoga for more than twenty years in India and the US. He has extensive knowledge of the ancient texts, has authored numerous articles, and has made many recordings of sanskrit mantras.
